About Me

(Older) 20-something. Does 4 years married still count as newlywed?

Stubborn should be my middle name; however, my mother saddled me with something more socially acceptable. I am steadfast, loyal, and honest to a fault. I find it nearly impossible to not say aloud what I am thinking (especially when alcohol is involved). My emotions are worn proudly on my sleeve. I battle anxiety everyday of my life, but I am learning to live with it and so are the people who love me. I am prone to fits of loud laughter, as well as episodes of darkness. On top of that, my husband and I are trying to make babies. It makes for an interesting combination, so take it for what you will.

And if you know me in real life then you should probably read this disclaimer: Addressing the Awkwardness

Our Journey Thus Far:

December 2010-December 2011: TTC on our own — 12 BFN

***July 2011: I got a positive urine pregnancy test after my period was 7 days late. By the time I got a blood test 3 days later, it was negative and I got my period the same day. No explanation as to what happened. Thinking, maybe chemical?

January 2012: Consultation with our RE

-Day three labs: perfect

– Ultrasounds  shows perfectly shaped and sized uterus and fallopian tubes

– BBT charts are textbook

– Monthly cycle is textbook. 28 day cycle, ovulation on day 14

– No health issues

– Diagnosis: Unexplained Infertility

-BFN 😦

June/July 2012

Haha Jenn, I didn’t realise until writing the whole post that you’d already been nominated a few times for the Leibster blogger award, but I nominated you, too! I understand if you don’t want to participate a third time, but if you do, the post is up on my blog.

So, I just nominated you for a Liebster Award, but now that I’ve come here to comment and let you know I see that you’ve Been There/Done That twice already! So don’t feel like you have to answer questions again. Just smile and feel popular instead 🙂

Good luck with the lap and hysteroscopy! I just had one a couple of weeks ago. I made it and you will too! 🙂

Crazy, your About page could be mine almost verbatim. The older 20-something, the married three years, the stubbornness, the brutal honesty, the anxiety, the unexplained IF… yeah, wow. Crazy.

Glad to see we have so much in common! I’m definitely looking forward to getting to know you better. One can never have too many friends in this community 🙂
